We had a great 3 night stay. Anne was very welcoming and provided us with whatever we needed, including toys for our 3 year old and a cot for our 7 week old. The view is idyllic and the breakfasts were delicious. The B&B is very quiet and a lovely place to retreat to each day. Anne was very helpful... More

This is a lovely farm-based B&B with wonderful views of the surroundings. Ann the host is wonderful - very friendly and accomodating and keen to pass on local knowledge. The only thing to note is that getting something to eat in the evenings means a long walk or short drive. But the B&B itself is great.

We were entertained by engaging hosts Anne and Bobby. It was a privilege to be able to walk around their farm. The house enjoys stunning views over Loch Lomond. The rooms are clean and well supplied. Anne's cooking is a highlight. From home baking on arrival to a stunning breakfast. The lemon honey was the best I have tasted and... More

We stayed at Shantron farm in August 2010 for two nights and we had a wonderful time. The owners- Anne and Bobby were extremely friendly, and Anne was especially in helping us to organise day trips, our driving routes and even calling a distillery to check if they were open. Breakfast in the mornings was delicious and fresh, and in... More

The farm is beautiful and the views are absolutely gorgeous but the interior is really dated and frilly (old wallpaper, fabric headboards, yikes!) and old and the walls are very thin. We could hear our neighbors quite clearly down the hall. I'm sure it's a good deal for the area, and for a family, but it's not for a romantic... More

We ended up arriving quite late and even when I rang to let them know, Anne was very friendly and told us not to worry and just arrive safely. She is very welcoming and helpful and added some extra little touches. There were snacks like fruit, biscuits and tea/coffee always available. Anne also gave us advice on what we could... More

Shantron Farm was a welcome surprise after having had a reservation canceled at another highly rated more expensive local hotel. Anne was a wonderful host, going above and beyond the call of duty. It is well worth the short trip up from the Loch. Excellent room and a large and welcoming sitting room. Homemade treats provided as well. Thanks.
