This is a lovely farm-based B&B with wonderful views of the surroundings. Ann the host is wonderful - very friendly and accomodating and keen to pass on local knowledge. The only thing to note is that getting something to eat in the evenings means a long walk or short drive. But the B&B itself is great.

The farm is beautiful and the views are absolutely gorgeous but the interior is really dated and frilly (old wallpaper, fabric headboards, yikes!) and old and the walls are very thin. Shantron Farm was a welcome surprise after having had a reservation canceled at another highly rated more expensive local hotel. Anne was a wonderful host, going above and beyond the call of duty. It is well worth the short trip up from the Loch. Excellent room and a large and welcoming sitting room. Homemade treats provided as well. Thanks.
