We stayed at Hawthorns on our first night walking the west highland way. We were welcomed by Chris and Jane who were really nice. The room was big and comfortable with a pleasant ensuite. There was a drying room for all our boots and coats which given that we had walked for about 5 hours in pouring rain was great.... More

We spent our first night at this excellent B&B in Drymen before starting our walk on the Rob Roy Way. Our room was very clean and spacious, and the bed extremely comfortable. We had an excellent breakfast before we started our walk. Chris was very helpful and accommodating with regards to parking our car, and offered to help me out... More

We arrived after our first day on the West Highland Way with one pair of boots falling apart. Chris insisted on driving me to a new shopping complex on the banks of Loch Lomond where I was able to purchase some replacement boots. The room was spotlessly clean and with a good hot shower in the en-suite. WIFI is provided... More

Our 1st pit stop on the West Highland Way. The new owners had just bought the business a few weeks and certainly made us feel extremely welcome. The rooms were spotless, the beds fresh clean and very comfortable. A nice shower in the en - suite was perfect. Chris cooked a mean breakfast and nothing was a bother to them.... More

Six of us walking the West Highland Way arrived a little early and were welcomed into this lovely warm and friendly B&B by Chris. All our rooms were spacious and comfortable with good efficient showers. Great breakfast including a lovely fresh fruit salad. Chris and Jane couldn't have been more helpful. My husband had left the rubbers from his walking... More

Like many other reviewers, we stayed here at the end of our first day of walking The Way. The b&b was easy to find, and Chris and Jane very welcoming, chatty and helpful. Other reviewers have commented on the spaciousness of the rooms but I have to say that ours (especially the bathroom) wasn't spacious, but I guess this is... More

Thank you for your lovely review. I'm glad that you took the time to tell people about us here at The Hawthorns. I'm sorry that you felt the room was a wee bit small. Stayed there night 2 & 3 on our quest to complete the west highland way. The owners were very friendly and helpful, food was excellent and the rooms were comfortable and clean. I would be happy to go back to lovely Drymen village to enjoy a meal at the pub next door and stay again there.
