We had the pleasure of staying at the Hawthorns last weekend for two nights in the family room. We were welcomed by Alan and made to feel comfortable from the outset, not easy when you are fraught from having three young children who are fed up with being couped up in a car. The room was very comfortable with DVDs... More

Thank you for your review, it is very much appreciated. Our guests should always feel welcome and relaxed. We try to be a home form home and everyone appreciates the little extras like the DVDs, board games, lounge and garden. It is very difficult finding family rooms and we are delighted to have three. Glad you enjoyed your stay and... More

Our first night on the West Highland Way,we were wet when we arrived, the owner Alan met and welcomed us,all our wet clothes were immediately in the drying room. Our rooms were excellent, with tea and coffee facilities which was the norm for everywhere we stayed.plus we had a bath which was excellent for aching muscles and there was a very comfortable... More

Not everybody has a drying room, but anyone who has walked in/visited Scotland will know just how important it is! Definitely a very welcome sight for our guests and big enough to ensure that everyone's clothes, boots, rucksacks (and tents!) are dry the next morning. And fixing walking poles - all just part of the service m'am! Many thanks for... More

We stayed for three nights last week . The accommodation was clean and relaxing. The proprietors were welcoming and informative, their knowledge and insights into both the local, and much further areas informed our visit to make it more enjoyable . My partner Karen, said this was the cleanest place she had ever stayed in . Would wholeheartedly recommend this... More

Thank you for your review - when we say clean, we mean CLEAN! It should be the minimum requirement for all accommodation providers and we certainly take our time to ensure that we clean The Hawthorns from top to bottom every day. We have a reputation for our breakfasts now too! We always prepare a fresh fruit salad and we... More

We have just got home after a one night stay at The Hawthorns in Room 4 - a family room that slept four people. The room was bright, and spotless, with a wonderful bathroom with a big corner bath and separate shower. We had a flat screen television (with a choice of dvd's to choose from had we had the... More

Many thanks for your review - we can't ask better than 'faultless'! It's very difficult to find a bed that is comfortable for everyone, but we seem to have achieved it. We try and do what we say on the tin - provide excellent Bed and Breakfast and it is highly rewarding when our guests enjoy it so much. Look... More

Glad you enjoyed your stay. We aim to be a home from home (albeit a very tidy one!) where everyone feels relaxed. One comment we keep getting is how peaceful and calm The Hawthorns is and everyone seems to have a great night's sleep. Many thanks for your review and hope to see you again soon. Corinne & Alan. We stayed at The Hawthorns whist attending a wedding nearby, Corrine and Alan are so friendly and welcoming, it's almost like staying with family. The whole property was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was definately worth getting up for (even with a bit of a hangover). The pride they have in the propery and the village is so apparent, we... We're just back from a weekend in Drymen for a family wedding and stayed at the Hawthorns B&B. What a lovely B&B....clean, bright, friendly owners, delicious breakfast and a beautiful setting right in the centre of Drymen. Would highly recommend and we will definately stay again the next time we are visiting the area! More

My family - 4 of us - stayed at the Hawthorns in June for 2 nights on the occasion of a family wedding. We received a very friendly welcome, and the room (4 single beds) was spotlessly clean and the bedlinen was delightful. Very comfortable beds, too. This is a really lovely place to stay, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. More

What a lovely comfortable place to stay. My husband and I came with the kids and had a lovely room with an extra bit for somewhere to play. Yummy breakfast and really friendly folk who own and run it. Drymen is a lovely little place, too." More
