Fantastic family room in one of the cottages down the room. Beautiful location and good food. Only complaint was that the earliest checkout/ breakfast you could have was 08.00, with the main hotel locked up until then, and no option of an earleir continental breakfast. This is hopeless if your walking 20+ miles a day and given that walkers are... More

Food great, location fantastic in fact prob best place on trip..........however only let down by some staff members (older lady dark hair). What a right miserable sod! She is in wrong job and I am sure if she... More

My wife and I stayed here in May 2011 and liked it. Comfortable, modernized room in separate building down the street. Wifi worked. The hospitality of the staff was excellent from the front desk to dining room and the bar. Their reputation for good food was tasted with every meal too. The location was wonderful especially for two travel-weary Canadians... More

Booked a superior room for one of our west highland way stops. Paid £86 and was the best of our trip both in room and price paid. Although our room was over the bar and outside area (earplugs supplied!!), it was lovely. It was clean, large and modern. We had lovely windows all along one side of the room. Although... More

Come rain or shine you are welcome at The Oak Tree Inn, they even have bowls of water out for the dogs, the meals are excellent, so good they don't have enough tables at really busy times, accommodation lovely - we have stayed in most of the houses but never stayed in the inn itself. Many thanks to all the... More

My husband, 11 year old daughter and I spent two nights here 4th and 5th May. Our accommodation, The Cottary was spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The Inn's staff were delightful and nothing was a bother. It is very busy. The food was second to none and the mussels were great. We met loads of characters, most of whom... More

During our Scotland tour in April 2012 we stayed here for one night. The Oak Tree Inn - very close to the Loch Lomond - is especially in the spring and summer time very popular for hiker, as the famous West Highland Way goes along here. Regarding to the quiet pre-season we lodged in one of the very tidy and... More

My partner and stayed here for one night and while we both enjoyed our time away there were a couple of issues with this Inn. Firstly we paid to upgrade our room. We were given a small room with 2 single beds. Apparently this is an upgrade so I dread to think what room we were initially allocated. Secondly, we... More
