this was our first of a 5 night trip round west highlands. we had a lovely warm reception from the owner who also gave us freshly baked scones which was a really nice treat! we had the gorg lounge to ourselves with open fire which was really cosy. room had a great view. breakfast also very good!! My cousin and I from Australia stayed three nights at Thistle House Guest House, St Catherines. It is a wonderful place to stay, so peaceful with beautiful views, great rooms, delicious breakfasts and so well looked after by Jenifer and Alister. We were able to visit many places of interest in the area, including Inveraray Castle. All good. More

Had a really lovely stay here for 2 nights. The weather was not great, but we had a relaxing time sitting by the fire in the beautiful large lounge. The breakfast was fabulous, as were the views and the welcome from Jennifer and Alistair. Professionally run and good value for money. More

Just stayed here for 1 night as passing through. House and room were fabulous and gave you complete rest even for one day! Comfy lounge to use with books, dvds and glasses provided if you'd your own liquid!!! TV in room was clear so no snowyness. Enough information provided for the local area to visit and eat.
