We called up after looking for a room that night somewhere next to the Glenshee Ski centre - this place is a 10 minute drive from the north. A triple room was offered even though there were just two of us. The couple running it were very friendly and accomodating, the rooms were very clean, breakfast was great and the... More

We stayed here before and after a three day walking trip in the cairngorms and the accommodation was excellent. The weather was even good enough to allow us to make use of the well kept lawn and bar facilities. Best of all though, when I left my walking boots on a window ledge( placed there due to smell issues...) the... More

sharing the bunkhouse with 10 other family members was just the best holiday we could imagine. the location was just a few short minutes walk from town. the town itself is so quaint and lovely with many shops for every taste. many eateries, coffe shops and restaurants and also a convenience store with just about everything you could need. There... More

A meal for two adults and two children, 2 beers, one glass of wine, one g&t and two soft drinks cost over £75. Whist the service, etc was fine, the food was no better than average. We didn't think this was terribly good value. More

We were staying nearby and the Braemar Lodge was recommended for Dinner. We arrived and firstly went to the bar and asked to look at the menu. We ordered and thought that the service for us was fine. However, whilst sitting in the bar area enjoying the cosy fire and Deer heads on the wall, another couple arrived and ordered... More

This has a lovely restaurant and pub - have been here several times and always get a suberbly friendly reception and hearty food which is value for money. The pub has a superb selection of whisky and cairngorm ales and a roaring log fire. This is a all year round jewel after a day of action in the breathtaking surroundings. More

Just back from another wonderful stay in Braemar Lodge Hotel. 9 years ago my husband and I discovered this lovely family run hotel in the cairngorms, and have visited every year since. Ronnie & Fiona are a wonderful couple and can't do enough to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable, the log cabins... More

As we did'nt stay at the hotel i can only comment on the food. The staff were friendly and the hotel bar/dining area where clean. The food was'nt great, the gravy was very salty and the chicken was very dry. Also the prices at the bar for drinks was very steep. We wont be rushing back for another meal. More

Stayed in one of the really excellent log cabins, which was fantastic - spotless and all the mod cons. We made a last minute booking and the owners responded v quickly and were very accommodating. It's dog friendly too so we could bring our Oscar (chocolate lab) too. I would defo return, for a longer break. More

Have just returned home from a great stay at a log cabin at Braemar Lodge. My husband and I stayed for the weekend while skiing at Glenshee and Ronnie and Fiona couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly to us. We stayed at one of the log cabins but had a lovely breakfast in the hotel to set us up... More
