Mon to Fri break, roon was very large with seperate sitting room which made for a very cosy winter break. On the edge of the Royal Balmoral Estate the scenery around the area is out standing with beautifull walks all around. Staff at the Hotel were all very helpfull and worked hard with no request being a problem, there was... More

Stayed Mon to Fri for a ski break found the staff very pleasant and helpful , room needs a refurb but saying that it was clean, comfortable and warm with all the usual facilities, the views from our window were incredible and no we didn't pay extra for them ! The breakfasts were lovely and plentiful with lots of choice.... More

At first glance this is a lovely looking hotel from the outside, the sort of place you would expect to provide some traditional charm and warmth. Sadly this is not the case and you will find that this is a coaching hotel first and foremost. Now, I have nothing against coaching hotels other than the fact that food tends to... More

Popped into the Invercauld Arms on the recommendation of my wife who remembered it as a grand Scottish hotel. We were not staying but the hotel says non-residents welcome. Asked the manager at reception if we could order afternoon tea. He directed us to the bar. Yes tea was no problem we were told but there's no food at the... More

I stayed at this hotel last month and the service, food and accommodation were absolutely marvellous. I could rave on and on about this hotel but the pinnacle I think for me was the excellent entertainment provided by the hotel and in particular the Scottish entertainer who came in the kilt playing the bagpipes and provided a great evening of... My husband and I did a 3 night B&B special voucher deal break at the end of September 2011, an early 1st wedding anniversary present on the way up to see his mother who lives in the highlands. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful as we checked in and informed us of our rooms location. My heart sank when... More

visited the invercauld arms for a 3 day stay, but left early. First night we had a small double room right at the top of the loft area. Goodness knows how any elderly person would have managed up all the stairs. Anyhow, the room was tiny and the tiles on the bathroom floor were badly broken and cracked, also round... More

Spent 3 nights dbb at Invercauld Arms late November. Staff were very attentive and obliging. Not many guests staying that weekend and food was excellent and very well presented. Very busy on Sunday lunchtime and bar meals were popular and value for money. Room was clean as was the hotel although some parts were dated, but this looks as if... More

We have just stayed at this hotel on a Shearings break and what a pleasant surprise. The holiday was such great value and this hotel was really pleasant.. We had a nice ensuite room with drinks making facilities and a bath/shower and TV but spent very little time in it. There was a nice bar as well as two other... More
