Booked through Accor, and assumed it would have the same standard as all the Accor chain of hotels. Mistake - apparently Mercure is now a franchise, but we weren't aware of this until we checked in. This hotel needs some serious investment, as the 'privilege' room we occupied was drab and the walls were marked. The shower was good, but... More

Sadly this hotel is rather tired and in need of a makeover. Rooms are of a decent size and comfortable but need redecorated. A good buffet and cooked meals were available at breakfast but staff were not very attentive. A young group who just wanted to talk with each other. The hotel is ideally situated for for shopping in Livingston... More

A special thanks to Melissa who went out of her way to help us. Also like to mention Blair in the bar for a fabulous smile & greeting & exceptional service. Also Greer who was always willing to make our stay comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel...

A fairly average quality hotel, but the level of engagement between the staff and their guests is superb! No corporate speak, just genuine warm friendliness. If I'm in the area, I'll be staying here again.

First and last impression on this Hotel is that it's tired and in need of a total make over, the room had a musty odor and the bathroom sink was cracked in 4 places, decor was straight from the eighties. Because we were on a National Holiday's coach trip the food in the restaurant was a fixed menu just for... More

Stayed here for a weekend with extended family group whilst attending a family wedding nearby. The hotel is in a bit of a uninspiring location and seemed to be popular mainly with coach trips that were passing through the area - but it was fine for our purposes. Some areas of the hotel were better decorated and fresher looking than... More

Just had a National Coach tour for Edinburgh and stayed over here. Very good value; Staff, particularly reception were very friendly; food OK but not good. Drinks were expensive. Bottles of wine started at £19. This cannot be justified with the standard of food they serve. Wine on a P&O cruise starts at £13! Rooms good, Shower had good pressure... More
