We stayed at this hotel 15 years ago - it's not as good as it used to be! The position is great. Our room wasn't bad, although it had a slightly strange mirror on the ceiling above the bath. But there was no atmosphere at all in the restaurant. Could be a lot better.

Decor tired and dated, although log fire a nice surprise. Room smelt quite musty and over-priced for what it was. Meal in hotel good and staff quite hospitable

The hotel is situated in a superb location overlooking Loch Snizort but has a large stand of trees growing outside it completely blocking the view! Sadly it has nothing else going for it - the decor is old and tired and the service atrocious (30 minute wait for breakfast in an almost-deserted dining room).

The hotel benefits from a wonderful location but unfortunatley that is about all it has going for it.The decor is very outdated and shabby and the single room I occupied was very tired and not too clean. I could not bring myself to use the shower and the bathroom floor was disgusting. My single bed had a single size quilt...

Having been in the Uig Hotel many times over the years I always recommend it to friends and colleagues. The food is first class as is the local Isle of Skye Brewery beer which is on tap. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
