Kinloch Lodge has made an immediate entry to my “Top 10” list of hotels... we were traveling to Isle of Skye after a 3 days stay in Edinburgh, touring around. I must admit to be very positively surprised with the beauty of the Isle and the very natural way that Kinloch Lodge merges in the scenery and atmosphere. It’s simply... more

There really is only one way to describe our stay at the Kinloch Lodge...it felt like we died and woke up in heaven. The home is beautifully furnished and very cozy with 3 drawing rooms complete with roaring fireplaces and an "honesty" bar. The dinner and breakfast are reasons enough to stay here. Our hosts made us feel like we're... more

We had a great time. We literally could not breathe will all of the food and alcohol we consumed whilst on the premises. UGH! We enjoyed the walks (even despite the damp weather!) and our room was just right. There was a nice view, it was tastefully decorated and there was a big comfortable bed. We also loved the heated... more

OK, what else can I tell you about this place? The service is great and the food is sublime; the Soupcon alone is worth a visit. I travelled 400 miles to get here and I'll gladly travel back again, if only because I haven't found anything half as good anywhere in-between. ;-) If I had to nit-pick, I would say... more

I have waited a while before visiting Kinloch lodge – not by work commitments or because of time constraints – but because I had wanted to experience this hotel with friends, who would appreciate its hidden charms and its nostalgic authenticity (I use these emotive words advisedly and in their extremely positive sense). My guests were visiting Scotland and Skye... more

My partner and I stayed at the Kinloch Lodge for 3 nights during our tour of the Isle of Skye and loved every minute. We were looking forward to a warm fireplace, cozy surroundings, and a little pampering, and we found it. Of course, every inn has pros and cons so I will be frank about them all. Everyone has... more

Kinloch Lodge is a beautiful house hotel on the sound of Sleat. A welcome with a glass of fizz and tour of the hotel was a lovely touch and this level of attentive service was maintained throughout our stay. Our room was large with a beautiful view over the sound - was a little cold in the evening - we... more

We've been going here for over 20 years. The food used to be described as 'good dinner party food', which it was, however, with a new chef in the kitchen, the food has moved into a different class altogether - first class. The dining room clientele is shifting, I think, to a slightly younger grouping, which is no bad thing... more

My review focuses on the food. The setting is lovely, but the Lodge itself felt stuffy. If you've got a serious stiff upper lip and your idea of fun is sitting ramrod straight through dinner in a full suit, then you've come to the right place. They do pomp and ceremony well if that's your type of thing. I do... more

We would not usually post a response to Tripadvisor reviews, however on this occasion feel compelled to do so. We would question the authenticity of this review and would ask the reviewer to contact us directly please. We have only had extremely complimentary comments from all of our ‘walk-in’ diners and do not recognise this review as a reflection of...

This was our favorite dining on the whole of our two week honeymoon. It was a splurge but we were so pleased we did it. The staff is exceptionally friendly, the food was beyond compare. No wonder it keeps winning awards for Most Romantic B&B. We were there on the start of our marriage, but other couples were there celebrating... more
