My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rosedale Hotel. The welcome at reception was the best we had received during our Highland tour. Our room was on the first floor with a stunning veiw of the Harbour - I could have sat at the window all day. The room itself was spotless and beautifully decorated. Having got... More

Put Simply...The Rosedale exceeded expectation. The traditional feel and quirky layout allowed us to consume the cultural experience of 'Bonny Scotland' with aplomb. Staff were extremely accommodating of every want and need but more importantly the room and location were altogether stunning. Truly a wonderful environment to absorb the offerings of the west coast of Scotland. I'm taking my friends... More

I was very excited when our tour guy pointed to the harbor and told us that we would be staying in the little hotel right in front of the harbor. Unfortunately, it fell short. The harbor view rooms have excellent views and the staff are extremely friendly. The restaurant is nice and it was an absolute treat sipping coffee in... More

We went on a 3 day tour of the Isle of Skye. The only disappointing part was the Rosedale Hotel. The staff were very nice but the accommodations were less than what we expected. The room was not very clean and there was very little room to unpack ones clothes. We paid extra to stay at a hotel rather than... More

My wife and I stayed two nights at this delightful little hotel on the Isle of Skye. We were checked in by a smiling gentleman who also gave us a wee dram of scotch and then offered to carry our bags up to our room. The hotel consists of three fishermens cottages combined, and as such is full of character,... More

This tiny hotel tucked in by the bay was a delightful surprise. Our room, while not large, was comfortable, and we had a fabulous view from all of our windows. We rated Isle of Skye and the Rosedale as our favorite overall place on a 30-day trip to Ireland and the UK. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and... More

I picked this hotel because it was cheap, included breakfast and had single rooms. Everything lived up to epectations. The room was tiny, but had character and for the price was excellent. The window looked out over the harbour and I went to sleep to and woke up to the sound of the water on the shore. Breakfast was continental,... More

A very friendly welcome and a wee dram and 2 great night's sleep. We had a harbour view - unbelievable. The staircase is narrow and steep, but this all adds to the character. the room was more than adequate with good storage. We chose to eat in the restaurant, and were very impressed with the menu and quality of the... More

It is the location and stunning views, along with the fine restaurant that make this such a wonderful hotel. Many rooms overlook Portree's picturesque harbour, and all are very well equipped. There is a wide choice for breakfast with a "Continental Breakfast" included in the room rate. Should you require a full Scotting Breakfast there is a supplemnetary charge for... More

Welcomed with small glass of whisky on arrival. Interesting building immediately next to harbour. Steep climb to main square (you will do this even if you are not staying here, so this is not a problem). Excellent view from restaurant. Not suitable for less fit people (steep narrow stairs, low ceilings in places). More
