When we could not secure reservations anywhere else in Portree, we settled on Meadowbank House. It offered very small and cramped, but comfortable rooms and a basic breakfast. The rooms were so tiny we had to put our 2 pieces of luggage in the bathroom. We found the innkeepers quiet and not very welcoming or helpful. It was also strange... More

Stayed in Meadowbank Guest house in September 2011 as a couple. Peter and his wife run a superb facility here, close to the town centre of Portree, comfortable room (the one with bayview in the extension part of the building) good shower, QUIET location. Just absolutely fantastic experience. Hosts provided hairdryer etc. if needed. Breakfast was cooked, and not a... More

We stayed here for a short break on the lovely Isle of Skye. The house is lovely, with an open garden to look out onto from our room and beyond the bay and mountains - you could also make out the Cuillins! The room itself was cosy and warm (v necessary in February!) with a generous ensuite and comfortable beds.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in May on a visit to Skye. This is a very clean, comfortable and charming little place - the hosts, Peter and Elaine, are friendly and knowledgeable without being too full on. Lovely conservatory for (the excellent) breakfast. Highly recommended. More

This B&B is within walking distance of Portree center. It's a nice little B&B. Elaine and Peter are excellent hosts. I had the best haggis (very spicy) for breakfast which will make me a haggis fan for life. The rooms are very clean but maybe just a little bit tiny. Parking is a little tight but we survived. Awesome restaurant... More

Not long returned from a 2 night stay at the Meadowbank Guest House in Portree on the Isle of Skye. I have not stayed in many B&B's before as I usualy stop in hotels. But given the expensive hotel rates on Skye we opted for a moderate priced B&B in Portree. Both Peter and Elaine run a superb facility here.... More
