I have been wanting to visit this place for a while and the right special occassion came up so we decided to head far north for what we hoped was going to be a fantastic meal in an beautiful location. And in short it lived up to its reputation and more. Yes, unless you already live in the highlands, it... More

I only ever read the bad reviews on trip advisor, as you can safely assume that they are not written by the owners' pal and you can usually spot a fake bad review a mile off (especially if the management responds to it). So I had a good laugh at the bad reviews for the Three Chimneys. Honestly, I'm not... More

Had a lovely meal here a while back. Thought we were never going to arrive at one point as we had left the mainland mid morning and underestimated the drive, but, we was not dissapointted with the fresh sea food, wine and especially the chowder which was the best ! Pricey yes but all well worth the trip and the... More

Everything you read about this place is true: The hotel is a haven of comfort, the staff is – though partially VERY English – incredibly nice, warm hearted and natural ... and the food is really THAT good. Fresh, simple, not too quirky and absolutely convincing by its mere basic quality. In the wine list, prestige bottles are a bit... More

A one night getaway for the beloved and myself, our only night away from the mutant ninja teenagers while on a month long trip to Scotland from the land Down Under. So it had better be good. And it was. Delightful afternoon tea on arrival, and a very friendly welcome. Flexible dinner reservation which we needed after the belly swelling... More

This is the second time we have been here and there seems to be a need to get a few things straight. Some people have the strange idea that they should try to find fault with this place. Firstly I thought they must either have been somewhere else or that they had some personality defect. Then I felt sorry for... More

The restaurant here is outstanding - the best we have ever been to around the world - very fresh ingredients prepared to perfection. Very romantic setting. The rooms "over by" are very clean with amazing views - don't go thinking you're going to hotel du vin type of hotel - you'll be missing the point. This is a fantastic restaurant... More

Fortune favours the bold. We travelled by car from Glasgow in 5 hours, a fantastic journey, to be welcomed by a friendly and caring staff. Our rooms were spectacular, warm an perfect. We dined twice during our 2 days stay. Dinner was professionally presented and satisfying. More
