I stayed one night here along with my sister and husband. The bedroom was fairly small (2 single beds) and very tired looking. The bathroom was quite shabby - the bath sealant needed replacing and the shower screen had black along the bottom edge. This was easily wiped off with one of the face cloths!! When I came to use... We were warmly welcomed by Dave and helped to our rooms with baggage and served tea and coffee in the residents lounge. We had booked dinner and were pleasantly surprised with pre dinner nibbles and other niceties to enhance the dining experience. We couldn't fault the food other than being over full but that was probably our own fault! Service... More

Had a great visit to Tobermory, with the best part being my stay at the Highland Cottage. The owners Jo and David couldn't have been nicer, their hospitality second to none. The room and facilities were excellent and the breakfasts were wonderful!

My friend and and I stayed at the Highland Cottage over the weekend of the Mull Music festival. It was the perfect haven from the madness of main street and the pubs. David and Jo were extremely helpful and friendly and the hotel has a lovely, homely feel - beautiful items of furnture collected over many years and lovely fabrics... More

We spent just one night at Highland Cottage but had a wonderful stay. The welcome and care from our hosts was top notch. The cottage itself is cozy - traditional decor. Rooms were stocked with every possible amenity. We did not have dinner at HC, but the breakfast was awesome.

We loved our two nights spend at Dave and Jo's lovely b&b for all the reasons listed in the title and more. The cottage has a great upstairs study/den with a computer/internet, comfortable chairs for reading and relaxing, and an honor bar, which I think is a nifty idea. Our room was exceptionally inviting and comfy. We are so glad... More

This was our second visit to Highland Cottage and part of the attraction of going to Mull. The whole experience is first class. We had a lovely room overlooking the bay and faultless food throughout our stay.

We stayed for three nights at the beginning of our Scottish holiday. We ate in two nights out of the three and what a treat it was. Excellent food that was mouthwatering delicious. Jo was such a talented chef. Started with prawn parcels, a small appetizer to get the taste buds activated. the starter was fabulous, crab cakes, followed by... More

Above the town centre sits this mock old-world guest house. (built to match the surrounding buildings but less than 20 years ago) A very steep ascent/descent to the famous Tobermory harbour side will challenge the less fit but was fun for us. The best views are not to be had from the groudfloor as Highland Cottage is very hemmed in... More

We booked a meal at this hotel as the food wasn't very good at the hotel where we were staying in Tobermory. Our evening was first class, relaxed atmosphere, excellent host, delicious food (particularly the steak). Shame we hadn't booked this hotel for bed & breakfast as I'm sure we wouldn't have been disappointed. We would recommend this hotel and... More
