I have stayed at this hotel many times and would not go anywhere on the whole of Lewis at any price. The staff are excellent, the food is superb and if you want looking after in a 5 star manner without paying 5 star prices then try this hotel for size. More

Rude man in hotel bar who was extremeley drunk and abusive to fellow friends. Bar closed at 11pm even though we were guests in hotel. Staff friendly but desperate to close bar asap.Evening meals not that great however breakfast was good which made up for it. Service in restaurant a bit slow.Rooms basic but clean and comfortable. We was pleased to spend 2 days at Doune Braes Hotel, the service was wonderful, the food in the resturant was fantastic, the tenderest mutton and the best scallops I believe I have ever tasted.We will return to this warm and beautifully decorated hotel on this beautiful island next year I hope.
