I visited the Inn with my boyfriend on Wed 8 July. He ordered the herring in oatmeal which he didn't realise came with skin and bones - and that you are supposed to eat the bones! He had to send it back and the staff very kindly upgraded to a (more expensive) dish of scallops at no extra cost. Amazing... more

Just how this hotel manages to produce such fantastic food, in such numbers is beyond me ... and at good prices too. It appears the Applecross area has recently received TV celebratory status. We were passing thru Applecross and coincidentally discovered a room vacant in the Inn (apparently another couple didnt fancy having a room over the bar as most are, their loss, our gain). The rooms are clean and have a great view. No phone or tv but thats absolutely no loss. The bar is very informal and the food is good.... more
