I (have to) stay in the Glynhill frequently for business purposes. I can generally cope with the rooms although some of them are really small and have other oddities. However the restaurant service is poor. In the Bistro there are enough staff to serve the mostly small number of guests, but how long can it take to bring the menu... More

We stayed at the Hotel end of January before our flight out the following morning. Having had stayed at The Glynhill last summer, we decided to book again for our Winter break. Hotel was not at all busy, but our room was the size of a shoe box, looking out onto a flat roof and someone elses room to the... More

We stayed at the hotel on the Saturday and Sunday night in an economy room which was pretty much what would be expected for the price, it was clean and functional. We ate in the restaurant on Sunday in the Palm Court Carvery was very nice and plentiful and the breakfast was the same set up buffet style and had... More

Although we did nott book a room, we attended the Abbamania night at the Glynhill on 6th January. The tribute band were excellent as was the disco but the food and service were appalling. The meal was mostly cold and the poor girl trying to serve us in a silver service fashion took about five attempts to grab a chicken... More

We went to the gourmet restaurant and only have good things to say ....mostly. On arrival the car park was very full and no one on hand to direct. Inside it took us a while to find where we were going and then had to sit in the bar for the table to be ready. The food however more than... More

Stayed for 3 nights over the Christmas period on a very reasonable rate that included breakfast and use of Leisure suite. Whilst there are many constraints that become easy targets for criticism, I would prefer to focus on the positives given the cost/return factor. The leisure facility is a star performer, very well run, and offering a great pool, gymnasium... More

Stayed two nights and had two dinners. About a ten minute drive from the Glasgow airport. They offer shuttle service only from the hotel to the airport, but not the other way around. Get ready for an unhappy taxi driver, who will not appreciate the short ride and low fare. This is a quaint, older and acceptable mid-level hotel. Stayed... More

My wife booked our Christmas dinner as a treat for all the family and it cost £50 per head. When we arrived, the car park was bursting and looking through the windows we saw lots of family's sitting in the resturant having dinner. A good first impression. On entering the establishment, we were met with a manager arguing with a... More
