After reading the comments on here, which most of are bad. I have to write this review. I feel there was many aspects of this hotel that where good that have not really been mentioned. A lot of people say the place was dirty or grotty. I have to disagree, i think they are getting worn or tired confused with... more

I got married here in August 2006, all the rooms were booked and friends and family travelled from all over. I would absolutely 100% recommend this hotel to everybody for their wedding. Nobody had any complaints, the owners took over the hotel after I had booked my wedding there (which worried me initially but for no reason as the take... more

We stopped here for lunch and a drink on our way past but unfortunately it was 2.05pm and "the kitchen was closed". We didn't sample the hotel but it looked old fashioned and unappealing. It's in a fantastic position but is like somethingout of the 50's. I can't believe that places stop serving ALL food at 2pm. No snacks, rolls,... more

I do feel this reprt is a little harsh and not relevant for a bad review. The hotel does close the kitchen when appropriate to do so after the lunch period. Like many restaurants and hotels there is a lunchtime and an evening kitchen shift. There are snacks available during the time the kitchen in closed albeit scones, muffins, crisps,...

I last visited Loch Earn in 1969 and decided to take my wife there on a visit to Scotland. Although the hotel was full the owner kindly found us a double room overlooking the Loch. The room, which turned out to be the honeymoon suite, was clean and fully functual. We were made very wlecome and booked for two nights.... more

We stayed as part of a family reunion party. The rooms were less than basic and filthy, there were odd stains on the side of the sheet, a cig burn on the counterpane, cobwebs aboud, a shower that spurted more water out of the hose than out of the shower head, dirty floor in the bathroom, the tv had no... more

We stayed here for a wedding and it was awful, i don't know how they can call this place a hotel. The public areas are dirty and worn, with thread bare carpets throughout. When we arrived there was a no one to welcome you at reception, but rather a button to press! Eventually someone came, he was the barman, looked... more

We stayed at the Drummond hotel for one night to celebrate a family wedding. At first glance the Drummond Hotel apperared to have all the characteristics one would expect from a traditional scottish retreat, warm, traditional and romaticised, situated by the beautiful serene Loch Earn and nested below bellous hills. On checking in at 11.30am, my parents went to there... more

We stopped at this hotel for lunch at the end of a magnificent Scottish holiday …what a disappointing end! The Drummond is set in a beautiful spot but that's where my compliments end! The hotel itself is a bit dark and dingy and the toilets feel a bit grotty. The high chair we were presented with was dirty. The food... more

Although we only had lunch in the hotel I just thought I had to let people know how terrible we found it. We watied an hour for food which we didn't enjoy. The public areas are run down and the service wasn't great either. I certainly wouldn't go back and urge anyone thinking of staying in the area to look... more
