The hotel wasn't busy when we stayed. I think we were the only guests, although the restaurant and bar were certainly busy. I can't say our room was exciting but it was certainly perfectly adequate. We have two children one six and one seven. We stayed two nights in a family room at the Pierowall Hotel in Westray. We had a wonderful two nights there. The breakfasts were great. The Pierowall Hotel has more of a feel of a large B&B than a hotel and this gives it more of a personal edge over many UK hotels I can think of.
