We used this hotel for a large fishing competition at the end of August where our boats left from Stromness. Everything was booked for us, so we got what we were given. Early in June we spent four nights at the Stromness Hotel. I loved it at first sight, a beautiful old building very close to the ferry terminal (but then, everything in Stromness is close to the ferry terminal!) We did not book we just turned up. We were very surprised at the top quality meal we had here. The steaks were very good quality. We will eat here again if we ever go back to Orkney. We would recommend that you eat here if you are looking for good food. More
