Stayed in a nearby holiday house but ate here twice. Given that it was the middle of winter and Kildonan is a small community, the hotel is an important local facilty in winter. As well as accomodation, it houses the only shop for miles around, a bar, and a place to lunch and dine . But don't expect too much... More

Arrived and was warmly welcomed by Paris and shown to my room. Had a very pleasant evening with a curry buffet and a live band. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be back as soon as I can. More

Very comfortable rooms with panoramic sea views across the Firth of Clyde towards Pladda and Ailsa Craig. Friendly helpful staff. Good food in both bar and restaurant. Literally on the sea shore, with seals basking on rocks 200m away. (Take binoculars for a spectacular show of nature) More

We actually stayed at the camp site next door but came here for a drink and a meal. The bar is handy and allows children up till 9pm. The food and service in the restaurant was of a high standard and portion size was large. Great place to relax with a drink overlooking the sea. More

We booked a weekend break and overall had a lovely weekend in this stunning part of Arran, with some absolutely wonderful food. Minor let down on the first night was the quality of the steak, although every other course was very good, as was the service. Second night dinner made up for this with some excellent duck and venison. Breakfast... More

OK, we didn't actually stay here but we did have dinner. The dining room makes the most of the fantastic sea views, and tables were well spaced out. Service was friendly and professional. We were impressed by the quality of the ingredients, especially the fish and crab. Interesting menu choices, cooked with flair. Generous portions and The whole occasion was... More

My family stayed here one night in July. The views were spectacular but the service at the hotel was not. Mostly, I felt the food and hotel were overpriced. The quality of the food was far lower than the price would suggest and the service was horrible. Our room was nice enough. But, it was right over the front entrance... More

The hotel is right be the sea and the restaurant has excellent views over to Pladda |sland and Ailsa Craig, while eating dinner or breakfas you can watch the sea gulls diving into the water for fish. The room has tastefully decorated and had modern facilities. The staff were polite and friendly if not always the most efficient, but then... More
