Although we arrived late, Colin welcomed us in and was very friendly. Like many B&Bs, this is a house with a guest room on the first floor, and the bed and linens were very soft and comfortable. After picking up take out Chinese (the only food available) we spent the evening getting to know our host. Breakfast was the best... More

We were both very impressed with Ochil Villa as soon as we arrived. Very welcoming and excellent hospitality made it a very enjoyable stay. The owners were very helpful and the breakfasts were fresh and made with local produce, would highly recommend. More

I am writing this on behalf of my Mum in Law , Nancy (87 years old ). I was very aware of making sure that she felt safe and comfortable staying in accomodation whilst on a visit to see us .I had no problem after reading all the other reviews that this was a suitable place . Colin made her... More

From the moment we arrived at Ochil Villa, we knew we had selected a B & B with a difference, that difference being the host, Colin and is wife Rosemary. Situated in a quiet corner of Fife, with gorgeous rolling countryside surrounding the little village of Freuchie, it was an ideal base to spend several days in Scotland. Colin’s enthusiasm... More

It was fun to have guests who said "don't tell us what's for breakfast, just surprise us" Maybe Russian pastries stuffed with cabbage, onion and chopped boiled egg was a step too far. However there were good if less remarkable dishes on other days. Thanks for the review and the reminder of that hilarious breakfast. Colin More

We stayed for two nights, and were sorry to leave. We will definitely be back if we have the opportunity, and will be recommending it to all of our friends. The room and bathroom were both excellent, spotlessly clean and well appointed, with extras such as iron and ironing board on hand when needed. Best of all was the quality... More

I came across the Ochil Villa as I wanted to stay somewhere different. Usually when I go away I keep to the comfort of hotels but this time I wanted to step out of my comfort zone! I made a fab choice and this B & B was brillian!! I was accompanied by my Aunt as we were visiting Scotland... More

Just perfect in every way - friendly, helpful, flexible, thoughtful - and superb food especially the bread and oatcakes! Nothing was too much trouble. I'll be back! More

We stayed one night and found a warm welcome, an excellent (much needed) shower, deliciously comfortable beds, and to cap it all an exceptional breakfast of local produce and home made bread. Whether you are on a bicycle or in a car this is worth a detour! The pub a short walk down the road did good pub food at... More
