My husband and I booked to stay here for one night as we had heard good things about the hotel and its seafood restaurant, A Room with a View. When I called to book the hotel was closed for the season but they keep a room open for people wishing to eat in the resturant. That was perfect. We asked... More

Beautiful building with real air of history about it. Absolutely mesmerising views that are impossible to describe. Very tranquil with interesting history and some adventurous footpaths leading to surrounding Aberdour. I stayed here for 4 nights on business and felt really at home. Bonus is, there is a great seafood restaurant on site too! Just couldn't get any better. great... More

Spend a night there for a family reunion and couldn't have asked for more. The first floor corner room, 5?, has windows that face the Forth and the Bridges/Aberdour harbour and is probably the best room. The food in the 'Room with a View' restaurant is exceptional with many non-residents visiting from far and wide. Very much a seafood menu... More

The owner and the staff were friendly and the service absolutely first class - as was the food which I would recommend to EVERYONE! The dinner and breakfast were to die for and we will definitely be back again. I was a bit disappointed in the "deluxe" room (although it was clean and fresh and had lovely en suite) but... More

I could not stay the night as the Hotel was closed until Easter. I ate in the restaurant and had a lovely relaxed meal exceptionally well cooked . I am definitely coming back. Stunning location. This is a real find and borders on the eccentric- but I love that. When the world is so full of clone type hotels we... More

We stayed two nights at Forth View when we first arrived in Scotland... it was easy to drive from the Edinburgh Airport but that narrow hill down to the B&B is intimidating! Well worth it though as we enjoyed our stay very much. We tried the Room With a View Restaurant in the hotel as well and it was really... More

We have been guests here several times and we will definitely be returning. It is small, friendly and categorically non-boutique, thank goodness. If you want to be close to nature, have stunning daytime and night time views, if you need to be close to Edinburgh without the big city frenzy, if you want the wind in your hair and the... More

My mother and I recently traveled to Scotland, and stayed here on our final night, as it was an easy drive to the airport in Edinburgh the next day. Although the driveway was a bit daunting, it was well worth the downhill experience. The proprietors were very helpful, the room was nicely appointed and the grounds were delightful and very... More

We decided to stay in Aberdour at the end of our short tour of Scotland, we had been to Aberdour before but had never stayed at the Forth View. We chose this hotel because it looked to be in a good position and we weren't disappointed. Such is the position of the Forth View that when we arrived our Sat... More
