We just stayed at this hotel for one night, but it was very intersting. The hotel consists of an old part, which is the castle and ghost room and a new part. We stayed at the old part of the hotel, right under the ghost room. Each one of the old rooms have their own name and it can be... more

Boo can mean something else as in very bad but THIS boo is excellent... this hotel has a "haunted room" in the old section and is a treat not to miss. Nicely located along the Coast Road, The BallyGalley Castle Hotel is a fantastic find in Northern Ireland and should not be missed if you're in the Belfast / Co... more

location and accomodation were excellent however near by amenities were non-exisitant. breakfast was satisfactory but our 1st evening meal was over-priced and poor quality. Following this we decided to try an alternative restaurant for an evening meal. Just a stones throw away was the Halfway House. Staff were very welcoming, food was reasonably priced and of a high standard. On... more

It's an old haunted castle. It's right on the North Sea. People who stay there get a rubber duck to take along and photograph in other places. more

We stayed in Ballygally castle for three nights in September. The only negative comment is that the hotel is not up to four star standard. The common areas are worn and tierd looking. The en-suite could also have done with a good overhaul, the shower curtain was old and grubby the seals on the bath and handbasin needed replacing /... more

Friends from England accompanied us to Ballygally and were so impressed with EVERYTHING there. It was their first visit, not mine of course and hopefully it will not be our last. I must congratulate the reception staff on their friendly welcome, something I think is missing in so many hotels these days. it really makes such a difference. The food... more

We stayed here, my partner, myself and 3 good friends in September 2009 for my partners birthday last month for 1 night. Afterwards we regret that it hadnt been longer. The rooms were big and comfortable with very good amenities, nice big bathroom and massive bed. The staff were always helpful and the Concierge was a oracle of information. The... more

We stayed in the Ballygally Castle for two nights of our 15 day trip and took day trips around Northern Ireland to visit the home towns of my ancestors. We had planned to stay at Ballygally just one night but extended it to two because we found the location in Antrim Co. and the service to be superior. The views... more
