My wife and I have been to the Maltsters Arms a number of times and just had a drink and a meal, This time we decided to have a weekend break. Booking the room was no problem, The young man taking the booking was very helpful and suggested Pepes room due to my wife being on crutches, he said the... More

A party of eight of us booked for New Years Eve, popped in the day before for a quick drink and were very welcomed. Alison even managed to get a taxi booked for us for the next evening (which saved us a very long walk back to our cottage) but had said if we couldnt get one she would try... More

For George, Alison and their brilliant team, nothing is too much trouble. We were there for an epic new year party for which the team worked tirelessly to put on a 1940’s blitz theme complete with superb 4 course supper, fireworks and live music for over 100 people. The location on the beautiful Bow Creek along with such great hospitality... More

Our 2nd visit this year exceeded expectation. We loved our stay in summer but even in winter this pub has such a lovely warm atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and the evenings are great fun over fantastic food and wine. We will be returning as soon as possible! More

I visited the beautiful Maltsters Arms this weekend- to celebrate New Years Eve, a 'Blitz Party' was thrown and it was just Fantastic. The Landlord and Lady are so welcoming- and really pulled out all the stops to throw an incredible evening. We also dined at the pub on New Years Day, and despite it being very busy- the food,... I stayed at the Maltsters Arms back in August and had a marvellous time then, with beautiful weather, views and great company from the welcoming staff. I joined the mailing list and when the notcie of what was happening at New Year was sent out, we jumped at the chance to join in the fun. Our hosts George & Alison... More

At the end of a long week at work in the city, jumping onto a train and heading down to the Maltsters Arms is one of the best ways to spend a weekend. It's a short hop from the station in Totness and the warm buzzy welcome waiting for you is second to none. We arrived in the evening so... More

The atmosphere last seen in the eventful days of the late Keith Floyd is returning. Lunch time sandwiches fill your appetite without emptying your pocket. A good selection of drinks cover the bases. Thanks George (& team) More

Recently had the pleasure of staying at the Malsters Arms for a weekend with some good friends of mine. We all found the trip down from London very easy, taking in some truely spectacular views from the train on the way down. This was only enhanced when we got to this pub. It's riverside location is truely magnificant and really... More

My friends and I recently spent a weekend at the Malsters Arms. The first thing you notice is its location. Situated right on the bank of a beautiful creek, it provided the perfect setting to unwind from London life, sit back with a pint (Dartmoor ale is highly rated) and watch the world go by. All the bar staff and... More
