We have stayed many times at the "Stag", a really relaxing place, our room (6) overlooking beautiful, gardens from our own balcony.Comfy beds, ensuite lovely . after lunch sat in the beer garden beside the river. We booked one night B&B, it was the last room available. Overall, everything you need you will find here and seems average. However we had the room where you could hear the kitchen hood's noise very well which gave us a rather restless night of sleep. We stayed here for 3 nights in August. Lovely quiet location, perfect as this was our honeymoon. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Good accommodation, excellent food and service. Great location for walks on Exmoor. Nice selection of ales; loved the Addlestones Cloudy cider, missing it already! Would love to come back some time. More
