Great hotel in fab location. The hotel has lots of amenities; tennis, table tennis, full size snooker table, indoor pool, gym and lots of space to relax. It has a fantastic grounds with sun loungers and outdoor pool. Hotel staff were friendly and room was a good size and comfortable. We stayed Dinner B & B, which we felt was... more

Desperate to get away for a weekend, we just took a punt on this hotel without much information. It's quite expensive but we had an excellent stay and the place was well matched to our requirements. It's a big place, close to the beach and has a large car-park. The room was a good size and well appointed, and the... more

Everything was super, the kids loved this hotel! we loved the food and locaton and the history dotted around this family run hotel since the 40's wow, the kids loved the indoor and outdoor pools, the park and the play room. We spoke with guests who had stayed year after year some over 30 years! what does that say? Would... more

We read reviews of others before staying at this family run hotel and sometimes you wonder where they stayed! One said avoid the hotel when there is a wedding - rubbish. We were there when there was a big wedding on and there was no disturbance to the normal well ordered routine. Food - Excellent, different menu each night, good... more

We have just returned from a 5 day break at the Langstone Cliff hotel. We decided to be eco-friendly and took the train to Dawlish from Birmingham..A pick up was arranged at the Station but as we ended up in a different place to the driver we were rebuked when he found us.Not the best of starts! An extension to... more

Having stayed many times at this hotel over the years I am a little surprised at some of the adverse comments posted in this forum. The hotel is family owned and managed and the staff appear to remain loyal over the years and are all most helpful and welcoming. One can park your car in the ample car park at... more

We went with our 2 kids (2 1/2 and 11 weeks). The toddler had a great time, but we had to watch him like a hawk. We had a nice holiday, but would have had the same quality in the local campsite. I can't fault the waitering and bar staff as they were very nice but I do feel there... more

I stayed here for two weeks during the off season. They had a special on which made it cheaper for night+breakfast+supper than just night+breakfast. And what a supper it was! Normally they charge £19.50 for this meal consisting of your choice of starter, main, dessert, cheese&biscuits, and coffee with chocolates. Portions are more than ample. I had my fill after... more

Been to this hotel with my son who is now 9 for the last 4 years running although I have made it a general policy to never go anywhere twice as there is so much to see in the World. I return because of the service and helpfulness of the staff. Once I got over my english reserve at being... more

Although the hotel was set in lovely grounds and had good children's entertainment the food was really really bad. We ordered our daughter lunch which they charged £5 for and consisted of lukewarm mashed potatoe with huge lumps in, some spaghetti hoops, brocolli and carrots. We didn't have lunch there again! The children's food in the evening was poor. Fishfingers... more
