Stayed here for 2 nights with my husband and parents. Dad is disabled and before we booked I spoke with John at length who was so helpful. On arrival we were shown to our rooms which were beautifully decorated and spotlessley clean.. We were then served tea and cake in the garden - what a pleasure. Breakfast was just wonderful,... more

We arrived at the modest bungalow that is Brookside Guest house an hour earlier than we had advised, not a problem at all, we were shown into a beautifully decorated house and upstairs to the haven of peace and tranquility that was to be our home for the next 4 nights, the house is decorated in lovely cool, neutral tones... more

We chose to stay in Brixham for the night because it was a convenient stopping off point on our map. The welcome we received at Brookside was warm and friendly. We arrived in the afternoon to fresh tea and muffins and an incredibly helpful owner. We stayed in the Junior suite which is a lots maller than it sounds but,... more

Smart, modern, comfortable and welcoming. Friendly but not intrusive help. Great and imaginative breakfasts. Slightly more expensive but definitely better quality than many. Well worth consideration. more

We stayed 4 nights in late September, using Brookside as a base for 3 days sea kayaking in the area. Brookside was recommended by the kayaking instructor as several of his other customers had reported favourably. We had to postpone from early September because of terrible weather and so ended up with the smallest room but even this felt more... more

Our room was excellent. Stylish, very comfortable and spacious. Outstanding value and our hosts, John and Tess, warm and friendly. It could not have been better and we will undoubtedly be staying there again in the future, when visiting our friends in the area. more

Again we chose to stay at Brookside in Brixham because I have not found anywhere that compares for attention to detail, style, cleanliness & friendlyness. It was my partners 50th and Tess & John had left a box of chocs & card. The extended garden area is wonderful, and we sat with tea & muffins in a lovely late afternoon... more
