We didnt stay here but had a very good meal in the restaurant whilst on holiday in the area. There is a very good choice on the menu as well as a specials board. I had the chicken with spinach filling which was very tasty. The service was very good - one waitress looking after a full restaurant - on... More

We stayed here for 2 nights, the rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The location is quiet with cows in the field across the road and distant sea views from the room. Breakfast was good and the service very pleasant. It was expensive but seemed to be reasonable for the area. More

Just a one night stay, but the room was comfortable and I would have been happy to stay longer. The bathroom was obviously refitted fairly recently, and the overall decor was casually elegant and well-maintained. Cleanliness was excellent. A good range of beers and wines, and a evening pub meal served with friendly efficiency. Breakfast was equally good with plentiful... More

To make it clear first, we called in on travelling through the area. We didn't stay there so there is no issue with the rooms or service in that area. However, my partner and I were disappointed about the bar service. The pub was empty as we were the first in at lunchtime. We bought drinks and chose to sit... More

One night only but the Royal Oak would be ideal for a longer stay. Designer rooms worked well and a great bath; excellent food (the best scallops I've had for ages) and great beer. More

After moving back into the area my wife and I decided to have lunch at the royal oak, upon entering the pub my wife and I were barely through the door when we were bombarded by hellos and how are you from the friendly locals, when all of a sudden there was an "excuse me, excuse me! EXCUSE ME!" Prams... More

Stayed here for four nights in May 2011. Good accommodation. Have four letting bedrooms. Very clean & compact comfortable rooms slightly on the small side. Had evening meal on the first night & food was so good decided to eat there every night. Excellent friendly owners. More

What a treat, lucky we found this wonderful inn with really excellent food on offer too. Menu had great choice at different price levels and locally sourced fish. The rooms were a delight, fresh and really clean and all new furnishings etc. The owners are really charming and we all had a great time. Great breakfast too...the teens filled up... More

Easy to find Hotel, newly refurbished room in very good taste and very comfortable and very clean Great to have a bath although my man missed his power shower, but with that the only complaint , not really a complaint. Breakfast very good and not rushed. Evening meals were great value and a fair choice. More

We spent one night here with our grandson and found it to be a lovely place. The staff were so helpful and friendly, and the room (recently refurbished) was lovely and clean. Breakfast was good, and we ate in the bar at night (again, good). If you are in this area, then it is a good place to stay! More
