Our fourth visit to this wonderful gem of a Hotel. As ever, the food was amazing, the hosts were captivating and the room felt like coming home! The bed in our room was a dream and made it hard to get up in the mornings. We were blessed with good weather so were able to take advantage of the very... More

My wife and I went there for an anniversary. Fed up with five star chain hotels, we decided to try something different. Thanks to Tripadvisor we found the Henley. We were not disappointed. We asked for the best room. Room 2. Very spacious, stylishly furnished with terrific views. Excellent quality and value In fact for a hotel of this size.,... More

We stayed 4 nights at the Henley in the large room with double aspect on the late May bank holiday weekend. This room is beautifully furnished and has wonderful sea views. I find most hotel beds to be very uncomfortable, but not so at the Henley. We found Martyn and Petra to be friendly and responsive hosts. Their little girl... More

Just spent my husband's birthday here and it was perfect. We had the largest room, which has double aspect windows and the most wonderful views. The room and the en-suite bathroom were luxurious and the three course dinner each night was exceptional. More

Unfortunately we could only stay one night as we were very comfortable at this beautiful small hotel. Martin the proprietor welcomed us and showed us to the end room overlooking the island. The views from this hotel can hardly be bettered. All the rooms are tastefully decorated in keeping with the age of the hotel and are spotlessly clean. We... More

We made the mistake of eating at the Oyster Shack rather than at the hotel Other guests said the food was fantastic. The rooms are boutique grade, the views are spectacular, the hosts are warm, friendly and welcoming, and the daughter and dog make the place magical. A little bit of heaven. Our American guests said it is the best... More

With just 5 guest rooms this is a small, comfortable, intimate hotel. I stayed for 3 nights with my husband in one end room, with splendid views over the river mouth and Burgh Island, whilst my sister, her husband and 2 dogs had the other end room which is slightly bigger. Breakfast is a very relaxed affair; however, whether you... More

What a superb weekend we've just had for my birthday. We arrived on the Friday evening after a stressful journey and we were made to feel so welcome it was like meeting up with old friends. The hotel only has 5 bedrooms so is charming and personal. Petra and Martyn, the owners, are superb hosts, as is their dog Kasper,... More

the Henley is owner-run by Martyn and Petra who have done an excellent decor job throughout. The room we stayed in (no. 2) was outstanding with breathtaking views across a beautiful unspoiled coastline. We stayed B&B and the breakfasts were very good, but when we visit again we would stay half board due to the limited number of eating options... More
