We were a bit concerned before we came because we read some poor reviews. Lets just say that we were prepared for the worst. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. This is a lovely hotel and the staff are so accommodating. The rooms are spacious. The hotel food is nice and varied. Service is fantastic in every possible area. Admittedly the hotel needs a good refurbishment, a major one even, but they are making the best of what they have. We were given our hotel room, (Room No. 408), which we immediately asked to be changed as it was not acceptable. The balcony was out of bounds even though you had access to it, it was very dangerous for children. If you are going to this hotel, insist you are not in room 408! The manager happily moved us to a lovely room. The hotel is very friendly and great for children as it has a lovely area out the back with swings and climbing frames, tennis court (huge) and pitch and putt.
