Brilliantly positioned, friendly, helpful informative staff. My childrena nd I are usually given a room which has had 3 beds squeezed in, the Shakespeare gave us adjoining rooms both with tea/coffee facilities and en-suite. It was almost 14years since our last visit to Shakespeare and ownership had changed. The almost 100% foreign staff and the new owners had improved the place - not changed it. Room was very dated even though we had paid extra for a superior room, I would dread to see what the basic rooms are like. Furniture in the room was worn and the door on the bedside table was coming off, bedspread was all fluffed up on the reverse making it look grubby and there was a sheet and blanket... More

Stayed here 15-18th July 2011, Bedroom decor could do with updating, but they are in the process of dealing with this, apart from that everything was of a high standard. Staff very polite and friendly, food was excellent and set at a good price. We will return and recommend to others. Thanks to everyone. Sue & John More
