We had an absolutely phenomenal stay. From the moment we arrived, it was pure heaven. The bedroom was like a suite and the bathroom was extremely luxurious. The food at Rathsallagh is reason enough to come to Rathsallagh. The dinner was michelan star standard but extremely relaxing. I cannot recommend a stay at Rathsallagh enough. We can't wait to go... more

Thank you for a fantastic review, we are all thrilled to read that you enjoyed your stay with us, particularly Head Chef John and his team ( some of whom you can see at work now on facebook ) , your comments on his food have given the kitchen brigade a fantastic boost. Thank you once again and we look...

I stayed in Rathsallagh for a friends wedding, on arrival back from the Church we were checked in immediately even though a lot of guests were checking in at the same time, a glass of Champaign awaited us too! The reception area was so intimate and relaxed, the staff were amazing, Robert & Marcus were particularly attentive. Our room was... more

Thank you for the lovely review. Markus and Robert are particularly thrilled to be mentioned. We love having weddings here, even though we are not guests we tend to get caught up in all the excitement and really enjoy looking after the real guests then. Christmas is indeed lovely here and very popular but unfortunately we are fully booked for...

We had our wedding in Rathsallagh in July and I will make this as unbiased as I can. Rathsallagh is an exceptionaly impressive place that we and our guests thoroughly enjoyed. The rooms are excellent. Each individually different, spacious, well appointed and all who stayed atthe hotel commented on the satisfaction with the accommodation. The staff we found to be... more

Thank you for a lovely review. Weddings are very special for us here at Rathsallagh , particularly and because you get the house and grounds all to yourselves it helps all of us to get to know all of you a little bit better, and this helps create the exclusivity and privacy of a Country House party. . Our Head...

I recently had a weekend at Rathsallagh celebrating a significant birthday. I had booked the hotel over a year in advance, and booked out all the rooms for friends and family. It was simply a wonderful weekend, and was made all the more special by the great staff, and the great food that we all enjoyed over the course of... more

My husband and I stayed here for the Bank Holiday weekend last October (the review is long overdue!!). We had a fantastic time. We booked one of the special deals from the website- it was great value for what we got. The room was beautiful- the bathroom was amazing- huge shower and big bath. The location is very serene and... more

Thank you so much for your very kind review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you also for raising the issue of the TV’s, I must look at that. Also the vegetarian options. We try to cater for the broad variety of vegetarian requirements as best we can and I am sorry that we did...

This was our fourth time at Rathsallagh (once was our wedding which was perfect in every way) this was our 3rd Anniversary. I would highly reccomdend Rathsallagh to any couple as it is a magical venue and the food is amazing. The O'Flynn family go out of their way to make all guests feel welcome and it really comes accross... more

Thank you so much for a fantastic review. We are so glad that you enjoyed what we do here at Rathsallagh, cockrels and all !. Our Head Chef John Kostuick ( from Canada ) , who has been with us for about 10 years now, is only thrilled with the mention that you gave him and his team. We were...

I recently visited for a family wedding and i have to say this is one of the best hotels i have stayed in. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff were very attentative. I was a little put off by the price to stay as part of the wedding party as it seemed a little excessive especially... more

Thank you for a lovely review, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay and our staff are chuffed that there service and food was so wonderfully acknowledged. On the room rate; The reason you may have found it a little expensive is that to have a wedding here you must take exclusive use of the property, the entire place,...

Went for a 2 night break and was totally chilled on departure. The walled garden, rolling lawns, mature trees and mares with foals in the adjacent field all made for a most relaxing stay. The food was excellent - really fresh local produce full of flavours and the staff were terrific - both helpful and interested. Aperitifs and after dinner... more

Thank you for a lovely review. We are so glad you enjoyed the food and ambience here, much of it coming from our own gardens at this time of year. I am so sorry about the greenkeepers on Thursday, as you may know the weather forecast for the weekend was dreadful, and the first leg of our Captains Prize was...

Just back from our amazing visit to Rathsallagh. It was our second time there, having previously attended a wedding. What can I say...the place is absolutely amazing, we were so relaxed leaving, we didn't want to go home. From the moment we arrived to when we loaded up the car to return home, we were made feel very welcome. Even... more

First impressions were not favourable. Welcome at reception was lukewarm at best, very off hand, receptionist seemed distracted perhaps by other duties? Dinner was ok, courses arrived with barely a pause in between, why rush courses through. Service was effecient, though rather clinical and apart from one staff member lacked any personal touch. Breakfast was excellent, particularly the superb scrambled... more

Thank you for taking the time to review Rathsallagh, we are delighted you enjoyed our scrambled eggs, the latter coming from our own free range hens. I am so sorry that you felt rushed during your meal. We change the menu every day and each and every dish is prepared from scratch, much of the vegetables and herbs coming from...
