We have just returned from a fantastic family weekend at the Portlaoise Heritage Hotel. We received a really warm welcome from staff in all areas of the hotel - reception, leisure centre, cafe & restaurant. As a family of 5 it is hard to get a big enough hotel room for us all, but room 322 ticked all the boxes.... More

Didn't start well when we were givien a very smokey room, went straight to reception but very unhelpful and changing rooms was not an option. Made the most of it and had a nice meal in the grill restaurant. Parking was also an issue, get token from reception but have to be ready to go before 10am if you don't... More

I stayed here recently midweek at a conference. The facilities were excellent. The free Wifi access was strong throughout the hotel. Even the coffee at the conference breaks was great. All the staff were very friendly and polite. It was great to see a hotel so busy on a midweek in November. More

Held a 2 day conference for 280 delegates here and it was handled extremely efficiently by the hotel and all it's staff. The facilities, food, accommodation was excellent and I would recommend the Heritage as a superb conference venue. More

The rooms are a let down. Dark, uncomfortable and low standard of bedding and decor. Worst of all, the noise from the trains passing immediately across from room with loud hooting as they speed through the station.
