I stayed in Cloc na Scith Thatch Cottage in July with a friend for 2 nights (& other friends up the road in another B&B). Being a frequent traveller, for me this place is a little gem & I highly recommend it !The welcome was second to none ! We were offered a wee drink before we went out for... more

She treated us very well! *the first B&B we had where guests are seated on one table. we had fun... more

One of the nicest experience in Ireland; top class hospitality, home made bread still warm in the morning; high attention to every details. A place where it is worth spendin one or more days during your Irish holidays more

Cloch na Scith is a lovely B&B if you'd like to stay out of Galway and in a 130 year old traditional thatched cottage. Breakfast was very nice (not outstanding) though the fruit salad was very nice and it was lovely to share it with others staying at the B&B. Our expectations were definitely met during our two night stay.... more

I've been to Galway many times, but the thatched cottage was undoubtedly the best place I've stayed. Beautifully restored cottage with all the home comforts. Easily would sleep 4 adults. Location is perfect - 2km walk to spiddal village and a short drive to Galway city. Really great value, will definitely return more

This is a very charming B&B . Breakfast contains self-baked bread !! And the guinness-cake, so tasteful. Close to Galway, this is a must-be place if you don't want to sleep in a busy Galway itself. Lovely stay, we sure will come back once ! more

This was a great find. You can see the ocean from their property, and the room and ensuite bathroom were squeaking clean. The breakfast was nice as well - there were even options to choose from. She is quite busy as she runs quite a business so she doesn't have lots of time to talk, but she took the time... more

We have recently returned from a three week trip to Ireland. Two of those weeks, we stayed in Bed and Breakfasts, most of those were chosen with the help of advice from Trip Advisor reviews. All were good choices, but Cloch na Scith stands out as the best of them all. We chose Cloch na Scith, in part, for its... more

I stayed at Nancy's self-catering thatch cottage last Christmas for 2 nights. We arrived and the key had been left in the front door for us (shows you how safe the area is). Afterwards, Nancy called in with some tea-bags, milk and home-made bread and butter for breakfast (on the 2nd night she did the same). She is very friendly... more
