It really is the 'central casting perfect place to stay' no fuss, homely, romantic, food out of this world, a host who could turn the Irish tourism industry around if given half a chance. Just go stay enjoy and plan your return trip as soon as possible - hint hint husband!! More

The Coxtown Manor was lovely - and the host was most gracious. We would definitely stay here again. More

A hidden gem ! Lovely location right outside Donegal town. Picturesque landscaping, a beautiful setting with comfortable rooms, and delicious home cooked meals. Our host & the staff were warm and friendly - we felt very much @ home and will most definitely return. More

My partner and I stayed in this hotel for one night in April this year. We booked a room in the coach house. It was a big room with a massive bathroom. Very clean. The main house is full of charm. Very cosy with a big open fire. This is a perfect place to stay if you want to get... More

We chose Coxtown Manor for the first few days of our honeymoon and were not dissappointed! the setting is beautiful, the hotel is decorated to a very high standard. Our room was very comfortable, with a more than spacious bed and bathroom. Breakfast was served in a beautifully restored room in the main house and was excellent. The belgium fry... More

We booked this guest house as a last minute getaway online so were slightly intrepid before arriving as to what we would find, however we could not have chosen a better place for a relaxing weekend. We stayed in a large room with en suite bathroom in the main house which was very comfortable and had all the amenities anyone... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. It's a very lovely old manor house with rolling grounds surrounding it. We found our bedroom in the house (1) very comfortable. It was large, very airy and we thought overall the place had a careworn feel that was spot on ( the TV remote was a bit too "careworn" for my liking but we... More

We arrived at Coxtown Manor for a two night break. As soon as we stepped into the hall we were struck by the romantic charm of the interior.First, the breakfast room to the right with its high ceilings, period furnishings and exquisitly decorated cornicing. Then, through the cosy bar to the left to the warm crackle of a turf and log fire... My sister, mum and i returned to Coxtown manor on the 1st May after a long awaited visit. Last year we discovered this relaxing and elegant manor house and its owner who greatly added to the lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately on this visit we were tired upon arrival and went to the wrong room which resulted in another couple who arrived... More

Booked a room for the May Bank Holiday - Saturday night. Arrived at 8 p.m. My wife was disappointed with the shabby interior as soon as she went in. Met by the owner and shown to our room in the Coachhouse. The room was already occupied! This seemed to baffle the owner. He insisted that the room should be unoccupied... More

I am greatful for the opportunity given to me to explain this amazing, unfortunate event. I was indeed baffled and totally shocked to find the room (room 10) occupied when trying to check in my last guests, I think many people would have been in this situation. The guests will remember also that the door was very hard to open... More
