At 82Euro for a single room I did not find this to be exactly cheap and it was certainly well above the advertised 45euro rate per room - I was asked for payment on checking in. On arrival I was left standing at the desk while the clerk continued doing paperwork. Even after acknowledging my presence he continued with the... more

we are a linedance club, who are based in a nearby village, and for the past four years now we have run linedance weekends in jackson's, using the pyramid suite as our function room. all i have to say is that jackson's each year has improved. nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff, who are always friendly and... more

We stayed in Jackson's Hotel in Ballybofey from 16th - 19th November 2009. Although this hotel could do with a little updating in parts, staff were very friendly and there was a beautiful, welcoming, log fire burning which made it very homely. Breakfast was lovely and there was plenty of it. We ate in the Bistro on 3 occasions and... more

Stayed here on a weekend away with my husband. We got a very reasonable deal and didnt know what to expect really. We were met with an old fashioned, but clean and chirpy hotel. Staff were very nice although the town was very deserted in general. even the bar was empty and there was a very big international match on... more

Got married in Finn Suite in Jacksons Hotel on the 10th October 2009. It was a beautiful venue for our wedding, the Finn suite was like a dream with the lovely light that changes colours in the celing, it was like dancing underneath the stars. Totally recommeded 100%, I could not fault anything on the day, the meal was piping... more

I stayed in the Jacksons Hotel last week for a two night stay. We had a great rate through booing.com. We stayed many years ago at this venue and can honestly say the standard has dropped. We had requested a non smoking room and when we arrived it reaked of smoke - however they Reception organised the room to be... more

Have just spent 4 nights in the hotel 21st Oct to 25th october. This is the friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in. The food was first class as is the accommodation. Yes the floor boards is a bit creeky but so what. All our expectations and more where met. Good on you all at Jacksons. David Merchant Navy Officer.... more

I had my wedding here on Oct 2nd in the Finn Suite and cannot rate this hotel highly enough. As I am from Dublin, we had a large number of attendees from Dublin travel to Donegal and they all stayed in the hotel. The care and attention we got from the staff were spectacular. David, one of the managers did... more

Myself and my finace last minute decided to head away for a few days break and found a great deal on-line for Jacksons of Ballybofey. We knew nothing of the hotel or town but were not disappointed. There is something for all tastes with the old and new part of the hotel. We much preferred the new part of the... more
