Stayed at Shannon Cottage after a week+ at Carrigaholt and environs. Easy to find, very quiet, a beautiful town, and a nice (Old Mill) practically within rolling distance of the door. A very good breakfast as well. Room was clean and the price reasonable. Highly recommended if you want a quiet b&b. more
This place was filthy. There were used cups in the room, the electric pot for heating water was disgusting, the floor was grungy, the bed's mattress was so bad that I had a painful, sleepless night. Don't believe the 45 minute drive from Shannon airport. Read the refund policy very closely. They will take your money without providing any service. more
My husband and I stayed at Shannon Cottage a few years ago, so this review is for general information not current status of this B&B. This is really the Irish countryside.
