My husband and I just returned from a peaceful, relaxing time in a rustic cabin at Cumberland Mountain State Park. We wanted a quiet place to get away and this fit the bill perfectly! Our cabin was not the Ritz Carlton, nor even a Hampton Inn, but very comfortable, clean and well-stocked. The staff could not have been nicer or... More

Our family of 17 stayed the weekend and from our first day the entire staff was so rude! Our cabins were disgusting there were cobwebs, black mold, and cockroaches everywhere. Not to mention the walls and ceilings had water stains which made us believe they had been flooded at some point and obviously not replaced or fixed. We felt sick... More

We've been staying at Cumberland Mountain State Park for years. We stay in one of the cabins, and they are quite comfortable. There is an onsite restaurant that has excellent food. The lake is quite peaceful, and has a walking trail around it. If you like quiet accomodations nestled in the woods, you will love Cumberland Mountain State Park in... More

These camping choices are rustic, relaxing and enjoyable. Food preprations are A1 and sightseeing, fishing, swiming, golf and doing totally nothing excells beond word explaination. Come on down and get you a double dose. Fred M More

Sounds to me like the person at bottom of the list has a grudge against someone at the park. Probably they were a trouble maker and are trying to still make trouble without being there. This park is a VERY nice park to visit. My family has stayed there several times in the past two years. We have not used... More

I grew up visiting CMSP every year, for the first 20 years of my life. Coming from a busy South Florida city, getting away to a small town in the mountains is the perfect getaway. Eating at the lodge is always fantastic southern home cooking. The cabins are nice and cozy, and are always well cleaned and stocked with linens.... More

My husband and I took a weekend trip here, and absolutely loved it. In fact, we are planning another trip this fall. The park grounds were gorgeous, clean and well maintained. We stayed in a AA cabin with a fireplace. It was rustic, but exactly what we expected while camping. We also at at the restaurant on the catfish buffet... More

I completely disagree with the person who wrote his/her review in 2007. We just came back from a 5 day family reunion with 100+ people and rented out ALL of the cabins. Each and every cabin was clean, well stocked with linens, dishes and dish detergent. The mattresses were a little soggy but the sofa beds were great. The bathrooms... More

My college friend and I meet at Cumberland Mountain State Park every year with our kids. As I grew up in the Smoky Mountains, I was not expecting the Ritz! We have had 3 different cabins and have not had any problems, except that we always bring extra kitchen supplies. We have been comfortable, have felt safe (2 ladies and... More

This has to be the WORSE place in the U.S. Absolutely terrible!! At Cumberland Mt. State Park, in Crossville, Tennessee, there are cabins. They are awful. Dirty. Even filthy. Smoke alarms don't have batteries. Beds are broken and mattresses are worn out. So are sofas--all tattered. The pine walls are covered with graffitti. Dust and cobwebs everywhere. Floors mopped with... More
