This hotel is very clean, the lobby is immaculate, the staff friendly, the room was adequate, but the beds are wildly uncomfortable and the toilet is so close to the floor for those with health problems or the elderly to sit that low is uncomfortable. More

Convenient location for my purpose (visiting Chapel Hill), near the Interstate yet still very quiet. Excellant by Comfort Inn standards. Spacious and clean, new carpets, new paint, just what I expect in the Choice Hotels line. There are a lot of choices along Bear Creek Parkway and I-65, and several food choices. We elected to drive towards town to River Terrace, and absolutely loved the place. Not bad hotel just had conflicting stories at check in vs. checkout but straighten out, just do not expect to use coupon for more than one night even if someone tells you can. 2nd floor common corridor A/C not working. Room A/C not much better (we tried 2 rooms). Side vestibule that smelled like pee, And the worst part; Having another guests nasty unidentifiable food left in our microwave. The hotel had apparently just re-epoxied the pool - the whole place was filled with a toxic stink. And they gave us rooms nearly right over the pool. Two of my colleagues had to change rooms in the middle of the night because of the fumes. It was certainly bad for our health. I had a many legged insect crawl... More

My wife and I stopped over here on the way home from our honeymoon. The beds were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good, the room was neat and orderly, and the staff were especially sociable and friendly. All-in-all, if I ever pass through Columbia, TN again in the evening, I will stop here before checking other motels. More
