It was reasonably priced. OK if you are just looking for a place to sleep and get on the road again. Staff was friendly. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. We had to prop the outside door open to get the humidity out of the shower (we were on the 1st floor and had a door to the parking lot).... more

My husband and I spent one night here. It was a good location from which to visit Mount Rushmore. As it was beside the Mall, there was a Movie Theatre nearby and plenty of places around to eat. The hotel was full of families with children - mostly noisy and rude children - who pushed you out of the way... more

We got 2 adjoining rooms. When we got to our rooms, one door was propped open. The pillows looked wrinkled and old. Our AC wasn't working. They offered to have someone come up to do maintenance, but it was 10:30PM. Couldn't change rooms because the hotel was full and our teens were in an adjoining room. Both rooms were dirty.... more

This was an overnight stay on our way to Yellowstone. We booked non-smoking, but ended up getting a smoking room. We were told this was the LAST room they had. As non-smokers, the smell was very strong. Our room was on the third floor. There were two big windows. The window next to the bed had NO SCREEN and the... more

We had low expectations to begin with, because we had to book 2 rooms for 7 of us, so had to go for a lower priced hotel. To begin with, hotels in the area are ridiculously priced because of the 4th of July holiday. So, we have to label the price we paid as poor value. "Free" breakfast was awful.... more

The room we had reserved was called a "king suite with whirlpool". It had a whirlpool tub and a king bed, but definitely wasn't a suite. This was disappointing to us. It was also a very small room with barely enough room to walk around. The building is old and while it has been maintained well, it is definitely showing... more

Our reservation was made 4 months prior to our checking in. While I checked in my sister and her 2 grandsons looked at the pool. It was too dirty for even a 10 year old boy to want to swim in. Then we went to the 'non-smoking' room promised 4 months ago and found that the air was heavy with... more

Overall cleanliness was way below standard. We had to exchange blankets because of the staining that looked suspiciously like blood on the one that had been made up with one bed. The "Continental Breakfast" was below standard. High Speed Internet? Yeah ... in the lobby. No refrigerator, hair drier. Walls need painting. For the money, a bad deal. If you... more

I was expecting the worst when booked into Econo Lodge, but our room was a decent size, nicely decorated and quiet. The staff is friendly and they had a great pool with water slide which was quite popular. If you have kids, they will love the slide, although the pool and slide are so crowded, I would be concerned about... more

We travel about 3 weeks each year, and this is the worst hotel I have stayed in for many years. The hallways and stairwells were disgusting, very dirty and there was an odor. The room needed a good cleaning. We ventured down for breakfast and left - - the floor was sticky and the coffee was at about half strength.... more
