The Hampton Inn is really the most underrated hotel in Deadwood. The location is a bit of a walk, but definitely walkable into the main street "action" of Deadwood. Super nice place. This Hampton was withing walking distance of all the fun and happenings and on the main street. Excellent "FREE" breakfast. The elevator was kind of slow and we had to wait longer than we like but overall this is a very nice place. There was ample gaming on location and the staff was very friendly and helpful.... more

I'm sorry that the other reviewer had a problem here, it can happen anywhere, but truthfully there is nothing wrong with this place. It is a typical hampton inn, with nice sized rooms, a nice large bathroom, updated, with granite counters, and tub surround. That being said you would have though that the Hampton would go out of its way to be more attractive than the rest but it doesn't. Located at the start of Deadwood's strip of fame. New building with typical Hilton chain facilities. Room size is adequate and well appointed. Like the ability to open the window and let the fresh air in. Didn't eat at their restaurant nor did we gamble at their casino. Friendly staff at the front desk who were helpful.
