I stayed here when on a business trip years ago. I have such fond memories of Peggy and the Inn. I purchased one of her cookbooks and she signed it for me. I use it quite often. My favorite is her Butter Pecan Coffee Cake. You can try it if you go. Every evening, I got my choice of tea... More

We have stayed approximately eight times and each time gets even better than previous. The food is better than superb. It is worth time and epense to have that special romantic meal cooked as it is usually 5-7 course. Just forget lunch and come hungry for an excellent dinner. Peggy makes the entire experience there an enjoyable one and goes... More

We have stayed in several B&B'S, and the Merridum is the best of the best. Peggy is a gracious hostess and a wonderful cook. Our breakfasts were scrumptious and plentiful and the desserts were simply delicious. The desserts were were served to us, with coffee on the veranda. Also, I bought both of Peggy's cookbooks. The mansion is Antebellum, however... More

The Merridun is a grand antebellum Mansion, with 14 foot ceilings, one gets the impression of being in a European castle. Recent renovations were recently done and the intricate porch ceiling had been painted and looks great. Phenomenal food, the Merridun is the only place in Union county to get a good upscale meal and the innkeeper is a warm... More

We were looking forward to stepping back in history. At first glance everything looked fine. Upon further inspection the mansion needed a lot or work and a good cleaning. Our room, very spacious, bed comfy, but dust around the edges of the floors. My huge disappointment was the claw foot tub. No way was I going to take a soak.... More

We traveled to visit with family and absolutely loved our three day stay. The food was amazing, the hospitality received from Peggy and her family will not be beat. She fed my daughter a bottle so that my wife and I could enjoy a breakfast together. Something we have not enjoyed in over 12 months. The house is a tad... More

I spent another delightful few days at the Inn, have been coming since 1995. It is showing its age, with peeling paint and plaster problems, but this is a great place! One very fun part of the stay is sadly no more - JD the Inn Cat died in late April after a very long and pleasant tour of duty... More
