The staff was nice, the cleaning, well lets just say I found a couple of items that the last people who stayed there left in the room,. The most important thing you need to know is that: a) this hotel is 30-50 years old, and b) it does not appear to have been a Holiday Inn. Stayed at this hotel 05-30-13 to 06-04-13 had a 2nd floor room city view. This is an older hotel so feels a bit tired and dated, a few issues with the toilet not flushing properly. Hotel is very clean and the staff is nice. They do have more staff now that is it closer to Memorial Day to justify the resort fees such as wait staff by the pool. I have to rate it sub-average because they charged us a 6$/night resort fee. This is not a resort, it's a hotel. Sure, it sits on the beach, but the pool and beach access were closed during our stay.
