I made reservations here based on the reviews posted on trip advisor. I must agree with one of the other posters that standards must be LOW! The entryway to the elevator smelled like urine, people frequented the stairs/elevator with their cigarettes, I couldn't go outside without breathing in smoke! It must be a requirement at this hotel that you be... More

The room was very clean and staff members were friendly. The price was reasonable and they actually wash the bed spreads. I highly recommend it. More

We won't go anywhere else! This is a family hotel with friendly staff, clean, convienient and priced right. It's not a glamour motel and it doesn't 700+ rooms. The beach is not as crowded, the pool is ocean front, both pools & both hot tubs are VERY clean. Yeah you may have to wait on the elevators, and ride it... More

This place is a bit dated, but you can't beat it for the price. The rooms are clean and the view from the balcony can't be beat. There are a few things that could use updating, specifically the beds and bedding. It's clean, but a bit "beat". The staff is awesome and you can park right by the beach, keeping... More

I did not actually get to stay here but I called 3 different times and was given 3 different prices all within a 2 day period and when I tried to book the room on the second quote she said they did not accept reservations that late-- it was 3 days before I was going to be going. When I... More

My family and I are used to "Mom and Pop" type older motels and love the personal feel that they offer. We were hoping to find an ocean front motel that fit the bill, but the Sea Horn let us down. First the good stuff. The motel is in a great location for families. It's ocean front at the southern... More

My family and I have stayed at the Sea Horn for 17 years. No, its not a luxury hotel with all the glamour. But, what it is...1. American owned, passed down to two wonderful daughters and their husbands. 2. Friendly 3. Convenient, 4. No parties or motorcycle gangs, 5. Family oriented, 6. Great value 7. Safe, etc etc etc. There's... More

Cleanest place I have stayed in Myrtle Beach (except caribbean resort but it is 4 times the cost). Nice staff and owners. They WASH the bedspreads! Had 2 bedroom 2 bath 2 tv oceanfront for $80 per night on weekend oct. 8-11, 2010. There are 2 separate buildings and the front is 4 or 5 floors, larger one is about... More

This property was recommended by a friend and after reading the reviews we decided to book. We were very disappointed with this property it was very old and ran down. The rooms were somewhat clean but the bathrooms were gross! The beds were uncomfortable. The elev. was dirty and the stairways looked like they had never been cleaned. This property... More
