I spent a week at the Aloha Hotel on 3 different occasions with my family. I was 10, 11, 12 at the time. I am now 50. I have many fond memories of the Aloha, met many great people there, and ususally saw the same people back on the 3 different occasions I went. I was reading the comments and... more

I have had the opportunity to spend every summer at the Aloha Motel. My Aunt Ginny was the one who owned it. I loved going there every summer and I am going to miss it so much. It is such a sad thing that it is all over now, but the memories will always be close to my heart. I... more

The hotel is very old. I had an efficiency and the air did not work. I then switched to a two double bed room and had problems with the air in that one. The hotel was also very dirty. The only plus was the SnakShak but the wait there was awful. All in all I would not stay here when... more

I've been going to the Aloha for the past 24 years and Im getting ready to spend the weekend there. This will probably be the last time I see the old place because I was informed when making my reservation that it is being torn down to make room for a high-rise called the Aloha Tower. I hate to see... more

The Aloha is my home away from home! I have stayed at the Aloha for over 21 years now and there isn't another place I would ever stay. No its not a five star resort but the environment around the rooms and pool is what makes it so wonderful. It is a family owned business that has been around for... more

This small private hotel will be torn down this fall for new condo construction. It was so easy to park take three steps and be in your room. That is very rare with lodging. If you like convenience and a clean modest motel, then it is a good deal. more

We stayed at the Aloha Motel during the Sept., 2004 Beach Bound Hounds gathering. We found the motel to be plain but very clean. I went loaded with bug spray but did not see a single bug in the rooms. Pools were very clean and the poolside areas inviting. Staff were extremely nice and accomodating. Short walk to the beach.... more

I stayed at the Aloha in Aug 2004 for a week with my boyfriend. I have been to Myrtle Beach 2 times before and stayed at the Carolina Winds both time with my family. Since my boyfriend and I are both 21 and still in school we were unable to return to the Carolina Winds.($$$) I must say that before... more

Great place to stay; Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. Made the mistake of trying a different motel down the street this year (Dunes Village) Worst experience I've had during my 43 years of visiting Myrtle Beach. I'll be back at the Aloha next year and the years after that. The staff at the Aloha is very customer... more

Arrived at hotel, walked in room, hit with smell of kitty litter and cat urine, then found frig not working, called mangement. They could care less. Had no cookware in room, called mangement and was given rusty pots and pans, as well as rusty utensils that looked as if they were used on the beach. Wanted to make coffee, but... more
