We just got back from our vacation on Hilton Head. Wendover Dunes was great. We had a 2 bedroom and had plenty of room for my husband, myself and our two girls. The pool is in the middle of the complex and easy to get to. The walk to the beach was not that bad. We have 2 little ones so it was a little hard on some days, but as they get older, it would not be an issue to walk the little bit. The beach was gorgeous and never crowded. I also liked the fact that Wendover Dunes was at the end of the Plantation, so not any traffic there at all. The grounds in Palmetto Dunes is very well kept. If you are thinking of staying in Palmetto Dunes, definitely look into Wendover Dunes.
