Clean, comfortable and historically enlightening. The plantation is far enough off the main road to offer a quiet and private setting. Though the original house and out buildings have been updated, the original slave quarters have not been touched. The host at this B and B made an incredible breakfast. Be sure to bring your mosquito repellant, you'll need it. more

Stayed for four nights, thoroughly amazed at how peaceful, beautiful, and quiet the plantation was - we sat in hammocks, watched the sun set over the marshes, wandered around picking out new birds and looking for crocodiles, all the while - about a half hour from Myrtle Beach.
