We went to this resort for a wedding and were not happy at all with our experience. Well for starters, we arrived at the embarkation center to park our car and catch the ferry, when we noticed that the parking lot was not secure and there are no security cameras. First, we stayed here only 1 night for a conference, and we stayed with friends in their cottage --- and they rented us a golf cart and had all the check in issues --- so I can't comment on that. Daufuskie is a beautiful island and the resort has many good qualities but there are so many opportunities missed by the management company. I had a very mediocre experience staying on the Island. Service, food, bellman, are all very substandard. The worst part: When I took the ferry back to Hilton Head, my car had been towed!
