We came to Columbia for a family funeral and hadn't stayed at a Homewood Suites in proabably 10 years. The staff was friendly, the room and bed were very comfortable, the breakfast was really good, the pool was very clean, and the internet access in the room was nice. Indoor pool and spa well-maintained and enjoyable. Staff was great, welcoming, attentive. We were there on a weekend, so didn't get to enjoy the evening meal, but breakfast was great - plenty of choices. Suites are decently roomy. Very clean, comfortable, quiet rooms. Check-in was cordial. Heat/air is "central" type with a thermostat on the wall - not the noisy, drafty "window" type unit that is more typical of this level facility.
