We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Mills House. First of all, the hotel is beautiful and historic; though rebuilt in the 1960's, they have brought in period antiques that really make a difference in the ambiance. It's in a great location in the historic district--near everything. There are several fantastic restaurants across the street, but we also enjoyed... More

We were staying in this hotel using our Priority Club Points, and so had no complaints about price or value. In fact we were upgraded to a beautiful suite. This was our third stop on a five state tour and we were both looking forward to being in the centre of the historic district, and we weren't disappointed. The hotel... More

My husband and I stayed there in the Memorial Day weekend for two nights. The room was paid for by our priority club perks. So we have no complain about the price and value of the hotel, especially for such a beautiful and historic hotel, right in the middle of the historic downtown area. Each night after dinner, we walked... More

The Hotel is situated in the historic area and is walking distance to many places. The Entrance to the lobby is nice. The rooms were not as much as I expected. They could have been better. The bathrooms were very small. The higher floors have a better view.

Having recently spent two nights at the Mills House Charleston, I am sure you would enjoy your stay at this historic hotel. Both check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. Our room, 633, was tastefully decorated in period style furnishings with semi-canopied king bed which was very comfortable after walking the streets of Charleston. The room also had dual nightstands... More

I stayed at The Mills House several times. The first time was wonderful and it was special. Holiday Inn had just purchased it...and that's what's sad! They have taken a grand historic hotel down to the Holiday Inn level. The last time I stayed the mattresses were horrible and lumpy, the upkeep of the hotel was not as it had... More

The room, the bellmen, the front desk staff, the bar and restaurant service exceeded expectations. The location is central to restaurants, the market and the historic district. At departure in the morning we asked at the front desk if we could leave our luggage while we toured the city and a nearby plantation. They took our luggage to locked storage... More

My 3rd visit to the Mills House Hotel and the charm and great location will bring me back again for sure. Originally built in the 1850s and with a great history, this hotel was completely renovated in 1970. We booked online with AAA rate for a discount. Still not cheap, but none of the good hotels in Charleston are cheap.... More

We had stayed at nearby Days Inn one night and liked Charleston so much we decided to extend, but not there. So, using my Priority Club points, I reserved here for one night. They were nice enough to put us in a poolside room, with our own patio. The room was absolutely exellent. You have to pay for parking ($20),... More
